We have provided engineering support and design input for projects involving products supplied by Bekaert (Dramix®) in New Zealand, particularly relating to the use of Dramix® steel fibre reinforcement and the CombiSlab® jointless floor system. Our involvement has included the structural design and assessment of industrial concrete slabs, incorporating steel fibre reinforced concrete solutions to optimise crack control, durability, and load capacity for heavy-duty industrial environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and dairy processing plants. The scope of work typically includes slab thickness design, fibre dosage verification, load analysis for racking and vehicle loads, joint layout optimisation for jointless systems, and coordination with suppliers and contractors to ensure correct installation of the CombiSlab® system. We also prepare engineering drawings and supporting documentation for building consent where required, and provide technical guidance during construction to ensure the slab system performs in accordance with the design intent and relevant New Zealand standards and building code requirements.
