The boltholder

We were engaged by Peter to provide structural engineering services for the development of a large trapezoidal warehouse in Matamata, which presented several geometric and structural coordination challenges due to the irregular building layout. Our scope included the structural design and preparation of detailed engineering drawings, as well as supporting the building consent process with the Matamata-Piako District Council. The structure incorporated a Dramix® CombiSlab jointless concrete floor system, providing improved crack control and durability for the warehouse operations. The building envelope consisted of masonry walls combined with steel wall framing girts, while the roof structure utilised steel roof framing designed to accommodate the building’s trapezoidal geometry and loading requirements. During construction we carried out site inspections to verify compliance with the design and relevant New Zealand standards, and upon completion we provided the necessary documentation to support the final Code Compliance Certificate.
